CAPA Competition Guidelines

Just a short reminder about CAPA’s competition guidelines and deadlines which have changed this year.
In an effort to encourage new images, images submitted to CAPA competitions must have been taken with 24 months of the competition deadline.

So for the upcoming Digital Theme and the Altered Reality competitions, images must have been taken after Jan 20, 2008.
CAPA uses the following definition for “altered reality”.

‘ALTERED REALITY’ COMPETITION
The image must always begin with an original photograph captured by the photographer. A variety of subject matter is accepted. Images must be heavily manipulated and obviously creatively enhanced including, but not limited to composites, creative filters etc. These images are not meant to look like a regular photograph and cannot be entered into a Digital Theme competition nor an Open competition.

In addition, all aspects of the image (if a composite) must have been shot after the deadline.

For the Spring round in Nature, Pictorial (Film and Digital) and Print, images should have been taken after Mar 20, 2008.

Looking forward to seeing your images,

Joyce
