Waterfalls near Wentworth Nova Scotia
Leader: Barry Burgess

Saturday, Oct. 10, Wentworth, Nova Scotia, meet at Irving Big Stop in Enfield at 8:30 am. Rain date Sunday Oct. 11.

Important we will be crossing Hart Lake Brook to access the falls of Horse Pasture Brook, bring rubber boots or be prepared to get wet. As a bonus there is a waterfall on Hart Lake Brook which you will see as you cross the brook, there is also an opportunity to explore Wentworth Falls afterwards for those interested. There are numerous falls on Horse Pasture Brook, we will start near some of the upper falls and work our way downwards, participants will explore at their own speed and ability and decide how far to explore downstream, allowing enough time to return to the parking area between 1:00 and 1:30.

More details can be found on Trailpeak.

Please note, field trip waivers are essential.
We do need to follow the PGNS field trip safety measures during this trip – see below.

See you there!

Thanks,
Laszlo

Sore throat (difficulty swallowing/hoarse voice)
New or worsening cough
New or worsening headache
New or worsening shortness of breath

2) Practice physical distancing by remaining 6 feet apart and wear a face covering to protect others, when physical distancing is not possible during the field trip.

3) The Field Trip Waiver should be filled out at least a day in advance and emailed to the Field trip leader before attending the field trip. This will serve as a “roll call” and a means of contact tracing should it become necessary.

4) Consider adopting a “photo bubble” when travelling to the field trips, if carpooling with members not from your household. (i.e. Both driver and 1 passenger wearing masks and sitting as far apart as possible).
