Through My Lens: The Colourful Soul of Vietnam
Stella d’Entremont

Join Stella d’Entremont on a vibrant photographic journey through Vietnam — a land rich in colour, culture, and character. From the bustling streets of Hanoi to the peaceful waters of the Mekong Delta, this presentation captures the essence of daily life, traditional customs, and breathtaking landscapes. Through storytelling and visual exploration, Stella shares the people, moments, and details that brought Vietnam to life through her lens.

Bio:
As a visual artist, Stella d’Entremont devotes her creative energy to nature, wildlife, and landscape photography, capturing the quiet majesty and raw emotion of Canada’s wild spaces. Born in the Acadian fishing village of West Pubnico, Nova Scotia, and proud of her fourth-generation Métis heritage, Stella draws deep inspiration from the land, sea, and cultural stories that shaped her upbringing.

A graduate of Chamberlayne Junior College in Boston, Massachusetts, Stella refined her photographic voice through years of mentorship with respected professionals and through continuous exploration of the natural world. She holds five PPOC accreditations from the Professional Photographers of Canada in Wildlife, Ornithology/Bird, Nature, Pictorial (Landscape), and Fine Art Photography — a testament to her technical excellence and creative range.

Stella’s recent work led to three solo exhibitions and the publication of her book ACADIENNES – Voix de la génération silencieuse | Voices of the Silent Generation, which preserves and amplifies the voices of Acadian women through portraiture and storytelling.

Dedicated to growing Canada’s photographic community, Stella serves as the current President of the Canadian Association for Photographic Art (CAPA). She has been a certified CAPA judge since 2021 and continues to adjudicate national and regional competitions across the country. In recognition of her artistic and community contributions, she was named a CAPA Fellow in 2024 — one of the organization’s highest honours.

Stella is also a proud member of the Association acadienne des artistes professionnel.le.s du Nouveau-Brunswick (AAAPNB), further reflecting her commitment to promoting Acadian culture and supporting the broader arts community.

Beyond the lens, Stella is passionate about teaching and mentorship. Through hands-on photography workshops, image critiques, and personalized coaching, she helps beginner and novice photographers build both confidence and craft — whether they’re composing their first landscape or tracking elusive wildlife in the field.

Vacationing in Costa Rica
France Boutilier

This presentation is predominantly dealing with Northern Costa Rica in the Guanacaste province, showing beaches, waterfalls, and wildlife. We will also touch on our experiences getting around the country, the food and web sites to make your travels safe and informative.

About France:
France’s passion is nature photography, from wildlife to scenic and dabbling in macro images as well. When travelling to different areas, like Hawaii, Portugal and Costa Rica to name a few, she enjoys capturing their unique beauty, but always seems to gravitate to birds of the area.

France enjoys the magic of seeing wildlife in its natural habitat and finds it a great way to unwind from life’s chaos. She enjoys her peaceful surroundings in anticipation of capturing the beauty around her.

Being a member of the Nova Scotia Photo Guild has provided companionship with fellow photographers with a view of learning new techniques from the expertise of more advanced photographers.

Travelling in Japan
Peter Steeper

During my trip to Japan, I visited Kyoto, Kanazawa, Kobe, the Kumano Kodo and the Star Wars Celebration in Tokyo. It was peak cherry blossom season which is enjoyed by the Japanese and people from many other countries. My visit included ancient temples and the modern architecture of the Osaka Expo. I tried everything from Kobe Beef to ramen at hole in the wall restaurants. Japan is a country of the traditional and the most modern.

Bio:
Peter has been a photographer for 25 years and organized many field trips and workshops for the clubs in Nova Scotia. He has been published in several magazines and participated in gallery shows. Since retirement he has travelled to many places in Europe and North America. He also enjoys being a maker and woodworker. He recently won SmallRig’s DreamRig 2023 Best Product Design.
He is currently working with SmallRig on more new camera rigs being released in July 2025.
